Yelena Belova's story runs short but lands hard: stolen as a child by the Red Room, freed alongside Natasha Romanoff, then left to grieve her alone. Six entries carry her from liberating brainwashed Widows to hunting Hawkeye under a lie to fronting the New Avengers, where even Spider-Man comes to her for help. It is the MCU's most focused study of grief turning into purpose.

    Yelena (young version played by Violet McGraw in the 1995 prologue) breaks the Red Room's chemical mind control, reunites with Natasha in 2016, and uses the Red Dust antidote to free Dreykov's Widows worldwide. The post-credits scene jumps years ahead to Natasha's grave, where Valentina blames Clint Barton for her death and hands Yelena the assignment that Hawkeye picks up.
