also known as The Eye of Agamotto

The relic Strange stole from a library and gave away to save the universe.

The Time Stone is unique in that its container has a longer career than the stone itself: Doctor Strange keeps wearing the Eye of Agamotto for years after the stone inside it is gone. On the sacred timeline the stone only really acts in three films, but tracking the Eye explains why Strange cannot simply undo the disasters in No Way Home and Multiverse of Madness. What If...? then shows exactly what happens when a Strange refuses to stop using it.
