The Infinity Gauntlet

also known as Thanos's Gauntlet · The Nano Gauntlet

A dwarf-forged glove, a decoy in Odin's vault, and the Stark copy that ended it.

There are three Infinity Gauntlets in the MCU and the films are deliberately cagey about it: a fake in Odin's vault, the real one Thanos forces the dwarves of Nidavellir to forge, and the nanotech copy Tony Stark builds in a weekend. Following the glove rather than the stones gets you a cleaner run — seven entries from a background prop in 2011 to the snap that kills Tony Stark. The Ragnarok scene where Hela calls the vault gauntlet "fake" is the joke that ties the whole thing together.

    What If...? · S1 E8 · 202130m

Alternate timeline. Ultron takes all six stones into his own synthetic body rather than a glove, which is the point — it shows what the Gauntlet is actually for and why a container that can be pulled off is a weakness.
